December 2008: Thank You to Our Director of Public Works, Harold F. Alvord, P.E
The Board of Directors of the West Norwalk Association wishes to express its appreciation for the recent repaving and storm sewer maintenance your department conducted along Geneva Road and Nursery Street. Both projects were completed quickly, to a high standard of workmanship, with a minimum of disturbance to normal traffic patterns and, equally as important, the work was completed one year ahead of schedule. We also appreciate that the workmen were courteous and helpful. In every way this was a job well done.(Download the letter here: WNA Thanks Harold Alvord)

October, 2007: Norwalk Community College, New Health and Science Center - W. Cedar Street
Copy of Building Plans - Nov07 Click Here to download PDF
In October WNA received a notice from Rose Ellis regarding inquire to the college's plan to expand on the West Cedar road area. The site that currently is the gym. It sounds as though they will not break ground until around August/September 2008 at the earliest. So no details are available that at this time. Also, the traffic study is outdated, they will have to have a new one done before they break ground. While it is mostly a student classroom and lab area, it will open a public health center on the ground floor off W Cedar Road.
Aside from the height and visual aspect of the building, the major concern is the increased traffic on Richards, West Cedar and West Norwalk roads, as well as the feeder streets as Nursery, Geneva and Fillow.

July 2007: Master Plan:
Every ten years the City must review and admend the Master Plan. As part of the process is a definition and understanding of the neighborhoods. The attached PDF is the "Mini Master Plan" that is about and defines West Norwalk.
Many may find it interesting to understand how West Norwalk is viewed and incorporated within the City's overall Master Plan. The next review is due in 2014 (?).
