Minutes West Norwalk Association Board of Directors Meeting
August 3, 2009

Directors in attendance: Ron Paladino, Joel Zaremby, Bob Wagman, Christopher Potts, Regina Krummel, Galen Wells.

Visitors: Gay Mac Leod

Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm in Meeting House.

Old Business

Minutes from July meeting accepted.
Treasurers report, $7,208.77.

If Peggy has not yet contacted Fire Chief Dennis McCarthy to see if he will appear at one of our meetings, Joel will follow up.

Dolce could not confirm Holiday party date of December 10. Backup dates recommended are 12/3, 12/8 and 12/15. Peggy to check with Chris Dolce for those dates as well as reconfirm 10/18/09 for our Annual Meeting.

New Business

Gay Mac Leod and Bob Wagman to handle sending email blasts to community.

Items for newsletter include Ponus Ridge Students academic awards and Bob Wagman’s Tale of two cities flooding letter, Chris Potts survey discussion and Gay Mac Leod writing of Tree donated by city. More needed. Peggy to coordinate.

We will delete Molly Walsh’s letter from the website. She said she lost out on a sale of her home due to the letter she wrote on flooding issues in West Norwalk that still appeared on the WNA website.

A meeting was held at the bequest of Amy Lappos of Jim Himes staff to discuss 5 Miler River flooding issues. Representatives from Darien and New Canaan attended as well. Attendees from each town were asked to submit their top 3 flooding issues to Amy. There was no commitment as to how she would handle them.

Push needed to get new members on the board. Each of us to try to get new members. Jim Forcellina to write letter to membership on topic.

Meeting Adjourned at 8:40pm. Next meeting September 14.
