WNA Minutes-FEB 2009

Directors in attendance: Jim Hirshfield, Louis Santos, Joan Dane, Peggy Yff,
William Van Deventer, Ron Paladino, Joel Zaremby, Joe Sette, and Jim Forcellina

Call to order – 7:40
Minutes of November – approved
Treasurer’s report – not available due to the transition from Dave to Louis

Discussion – Holiday Party to be held on 12/8 at Dolce
          -$10.00 fee for those attending who are not members
          -self addressed envelopes for those who want to mail in dues
          -payment by credit cards to be explored with Dolce
          -appropriate signs for the registration table
          -applications to be available at the registration table
          -sponsor a 50/50 raffle at the event
Board members were asked to appear at Dolce at 6:30 to prepare for the event

Advertising in the Newsletter – F. Wagman and B. Johnson had contributed to advertising in the Newsletter for 3 issues. Only one has been published. They will be notified of our intention to do follow through on the commitment.

The Board is now INSURED!!

Wood chips were ordered for the Fillow/Hunters Lane site to tidy up the area until the spring planting. Signs will cost $200 each to be eventually ordered by Ron.
Motion – Pending the $ available, order 2 signs. Approved
Motion – to accept a donation from S. Seglison for plantings on the 2 locations – approved with Ron voting no.

WNA Association website – still in planning stage. Joe Sette will follow up on this.
